BigCat Research
Independent market research company in Istanbul
BigCat Research is an independent research company headquartered in Ataşehir, Istanbul. We run market, brand, employee experience, operational and social impact research, and combine data, interpretation and the practical next step in one decision report.
Independence: A research company must not sell its own conclusion: findings are reported whichever side they fall on. BigCat states its method, sample and limitations openly.
Field capacity: Surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups and field observation run across Turkey. Reaching harder-to-survey groups (blue-collar, youth, rural) is a design question of its own.
Decision language: The report is written for the management meeting: prioritized actions, indicators to track and which decision rests on which evidence.
Frequently asked questions
How do you recognize a reliable research company?
Three signals: it explains how the sample and fieldwork are designed, it shares the questionnaire and raw data, and it reports findings even when they contradict the client’s expectations. Reference projects and sample reports demonstrate all three.
What drives the research budget?
Sample size, method mix (survey, interview, observation), geographic coverage and whether the study is one-off or recurring are the main items. If the decision question is written first, scope and budget can be narrowed.
Do you work outside Istanbul?
Yes. Fieldwork covers the whole of Turkey while the research office is in Istanbul. For multi-province studies, regional breakdowns are built into the design from the start.
How does the research process work?
The decision question and scope are clarified together; then the method, sample and questionnaire are designed. After fieldwork, findings are reported as a prioritized action list and can be moved into a dashboard.
Can we approach you for a small-scale study?
Yes. Limited-scope desk research or a single-segment survey is also executed; the decision question is heard first, and the size of the study is decided after that.
